Dear ARMS Community:
It is with great pleasure I welcome you to the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year at Austin Road Middle School, the greatest middle school in Henry County! Austin Road MS is a very special place and I am looking forward to a spectacular year as your new Principal to prepare our scholars for life beyond middle school. We are certainly living in an unprecedented time as we begin this school year in a remote setting. I can assure you we want to welcome and high-five our Jaguars onto the campus and into our classrooms as soon as possible. Please understand we take very seriously our responsibility to the physical and emotional safety of our scholars, staff, and families. I ask that you remain patient as we work through this school year.
Austin Road Middle School will be highly regarded in Georgia based on student performance on state assessments, opportunities for students to participate in athletics and other extra-curricular or co-curricular organizations, and school climate. Our teachers, counselors, support staff, and administrators are focused on ensuring all students have equal access, and we continue to focus on providing effective, engaging, and meaningful instruction for each student whether virtually or in-person.
We value the vital role parents and extended families play in the education of their students, and middle school is not a time to back away from supporting your child’s educational journey. Remain connected with your scholar’s teachers and counselors. It is critically important we have the most current contact information for your scholar. If you have not activated your Parent Portal to connect with our school, please contact our school to create your account. All parent/guardians will have the ability to update contact information through the parent account. Students and parents will be able to access the Student Handbook and other Henry County Schools documents through their portal account.
As we begin the year, I invite you to visit our school’s website, https://arm.henry.k12.ga.us/ , and our social media sites - Facebook, and Twitter. We will provide ongoing updates to families through these sites and through the Parent Portal. If you missed our Virtual Open House last week, you will be able to access this site by visiting our school’s website. Please continue to review our general information regarding remote learning processes and expectations. I look forward to our best year ever and am hopeful we will be able to return to our campus soon.

We will continue to uphold our pursuit of exceptional and remain committed to winning for ARMS, every child, every minute, and every day. I feel privileged to be a part of a school that places such a strong emphasis on academic excellence, character development, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. Together with our outstanding team of educators and staff, I am committed to upholding these values and working collaboratively to support the growth and success of our students.
As Assistant Principal, my primary goal is to contribute to an environment where every student feels valued, inspired, and empowered to reach their full potential. I am here to listen, support, and guide both students and parents in navigating their educational journey, whether it be academic challenges, personal development, or extracurricular pursuits.
